FutureBook launches monthly digital drinks night

I'm very excited to announce our first FutureBook digital drinks night 'Book to The Future'. To be held on 15th July in Soho, London. An informal night for everyone in digital publishing to connect in the real world.

I'd like these nights to reflect the broad spectrum of companies and people driving digital publishing. So the night is aimed at:

  • people from all disciplines in publishing
  • booksellers
  • digital agencies
  • social media experts/authors/agencies
  • literary agents
  • authors
  • librarians
  • game developers
  • gadget/tablet companies
  • digital distribution companies
  • app developers
  • mobile developers

I'm probably missing some important sectors off this list, but I hope it gives you an idea of what we're trying to create with 'Book to The Future' nights. Lively conversation with professionals from disciplines, sectors you may never meet professionally.

I know you are all happy to tweet, blip, Facebook, Digg, Buzz and occasionally StumbleUpon each other. But here's your opportunity to meet in person. Connect in the real world.

Myself, Philip Jones & Tom Tivnan will all be there from The Bookseller / Futurebook. Please find us if you'd like to get involved in Futurebook.net blog, our Futurebook conference later in the year or just to introduce yourselves.

Please come and invite your colleagues.

15th July, 6.30 onwards, Bar Chocolate, D'Arblay St, Soho, London. More info here.
