I'm delighted to say that we have had 93 entries to our first Digital Innovation Awards. Publishers, booksellers, authors and developers from UK, USA, Canada, France, Australia and Holland are all represented. Major players, niche companies and start-ups will all be competing for our first FutureBook awards.
The entries reflect how positively the industry is responding to the potential of digital. Our judges are going to have a tough job.
Judging day will be on 8th March (our judges are members of our advisory board) and the winners will be announced on the 17th March at our FutureBook drinks evening. Do come along and see who scoops the winner’s champagne. (To be held at the Theodore Bullfrog bar in Charing Cross from 6pm http://www.theodore-bullfrog.co.uk/)
The 93 entries break down as follows:
38 Entries for Best app/enhanced eBook/interactive book
4 Entries for Best workflow innovation
11 Entries for Best content innovation
22 Entries for Best website
6 Entries for Best use of social media
5 Entries for Best integrated digital marketing campaign
7 Entries for Most inspiring digital publishing person
All category winners will automatically go through to compete for the Digital Innovation award at The Bookseller’s Industry Awards in May.
Thanks to everyone who took the time to enter and good luck. Hope to see you all on 17th March.
